All cars and mini-busses that are registered before 1997 will not be allowed to drive in Paris as of the first of July 2016. The aim of this new law is to decrease smog and traffic problems. The cars will be banned from the city on every working day between 08:00 and 20:00. Such a law for trucks and busses registered before 1 October 2001 has already been in effect since last year.
