Belgian kilometre levy: DKV launches Facebook page on start of official client registration

DKV Euro Service launches its own Facebook page in order to keep its customers posted on all new developments in the transport and logistics industry, including all information about the new Belgian kilometer levy. So far DKV has long been active on social media sporting its own blog (www.dkv-euroservice.com), Twitter page (@DKV_Benelux) and LinkedIn profile (DKV Euro Service Benelux). The launch of the brand-new Facebook page (DKV Euro Service Benelux) is perfectly timed as it coincides with the start of the official client registration by 1 October. So ‘Like us’ on Facebook as of now and do not miss out on any update.

Official client registration

Following the pre-registration period, DKV started its official client registration on 1 October last. Belgium introduces its satellite-based VIAPASS tolls system for trucks as of 3.5 t MGW on 1 April 2016. From that date, the current Euro vignettes will be replaced by compulsory on board units. Naturally it will be possible to pay the new kilometre levy through DKV Euro Service. DKV will arrange smooth transfer of Euro vignettes to the new on board unit; another valuable additional service offered by DKV within its standard all-round product range.

Haulage firms that wish to make use of these new services can enter their records on the DKV web site and thereupon upload the required documents (like copies of the registration documents). In this case the customer allows DKV to arrange registration in the customer’s name. DKV verifies and checks the documents, arranges the registration and completes the tolls procedure with tolls operator Satellic NV. Finally, the on board units are sent to the company. DKV makes the difference here, as it takes over the full A-Z of the paperwork required for the Belgian kilometre levy. Here again, its starting-point is ‘Relief from Strain’ in the interest of the customer.
